Free to Dance is back

Free dance classes for girls aged 14-18 will be available on a Wednesday night 6pm - 7pm in Auchenharvie Academy starting on Wednesday 2nd September. All girls are welcome and the classes are open to non members of the DofE group. If you are interested in doing your DofE award then dance can count towards your physical section.

We have been lucky enough to receive a one to one membership with Apple through a promotional scheme with DofE Head Office.

This means young people in our group have the opportunity to book one to one hourly sessions with staff at the Apple store in Glasgow to learn more about any Apple software. Why not use it to learn about photo editing, video editing, making music on the computer, designing websites...

This can form part of your skill programme and the group has Macbooks you can use to develop what you learn at the sessions.

All you need is the enthusiasm and the ability to get to the Apple store in Glasgow Buchanan Street.

Successful Expedition to Arran

Well done to everyone who completed their Bronze or Silver expedition on Arran. Despite midges, ticks, rain and hills a good time was had by all and four bronzes and seven silvers passed their expedition section. Thanks to the Lochranza Field Centre who spent some time with the group sharing the secrets of Arran’s geology.

Well done to Danielle and Aisling who recently completed their Dance Leadership qualification. They will be helping lead dance classes in the local area as part of their volunteering section.
